The Joy Behind the Art

Born to 2 wonderfully creative people, Clairisa was a born artist.  As a very small child Clairisa’s parents were told that it was, “Strange how a 2 year old was so focused on coloring”.  All the other children would scribble and run but not Clairisa.  She would not leave her paper until the entire page was filled with color.  Art continues to provide joy to Clairisa and she works hard to share that joy with the world.  Throughout her elementary and middle school years she won many honors for her talents.  She continued to receive accolades in high school and worked with high school students in her college years mentoring young women in creative ways.  Through it all she was always able to connect her thoughts to her art work and thus to many.   She is published in the Underground Art and Literary Journal and is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelors degree in Fine Art and Textiles. This is the Joy of Art she wants to share with the world.
